Books that inspire.

I have been a big fan of books since I was a child. Fun fact; I won my primary school reading competition at age 6, not too shabby I think. Anyways, as I grew older I, unfortunately, reached for other priorities and read less and less. However, I still manage to keep my passion through graphic coffee table books and others of such. I have a huge passion for graphics, I love pictures and I love how authors use their amazing ways to inspire readers. Hence, here is a post about some of the books that inspire me, the graphics that get me thinking, and some things I am passionate about.

Look how gorgeous the front covers are. The bright colours and the beautiful images really catch the eye, and that's what I love.

The first book is a cookbook by Mark Kurlansky and his daughter Talia, called "International Night". This gorgeous book is inspired by the cultures of the world and tell the recipes from all corners of the globe. There is Egyptian, Barbadian, Korean and any other cuisine you can think of, filled with recipes that use exotic ingredients to create beautiful food. I love the fact that you can choose a night and create a 3-course meal inspired by the cuisine of a foreign country. Plus, check out the beautiful blue pictures. I love the calm nature of the book and how it brings such beautiful cuisines together to create such a unique book.

The next book has been a constant bible for me and my body for the past couple of years. It's the Neal's Yard Beauty book and it's packed full of recipes and tips for your body, skin and soul. I love the fact it includes so many beautiful photos and graphics to visualise the recipes and really show the reader how natural products can be made. I learnt so many new tips for my individual skin type that has made my face feel so much healthier in an all natural way. Check this book out if you're thinking of converting to natural skincare or just want a good wholesome read.

If you didn't know, my mother lived a short portion of her life in Sweden and has always had a strong passion for their culture; especially interior design. Whilst visiting Stockholm a few years ago, I picked up this book and fell in love with the culture of Sweden. From the food to the design of their houses, there is nothing you cant fall in love with in Sweden. This book writes about Swedish traditions and culture and includes cute recipes that you can recreate at home. My mama left me a cute message inside, which makes the book even more special to me. A great read and a really special book for me.

I love a good read before bed and these are just some of the few books that really inspire me.

What books do you love to read?
