The Sheer Edit: L'Oreal Colour Riche Balms //

It's official, after Zazie and I's expedition for the perfect sheer lip colours, I think I have found them. (If you would like to help us find the perfect sheer peachy pink, don't hesitate to tweet us ;). So unfortunately these bad boys aren't available in Singapore, but whilst Mama Blogs went across the pond to visit makeup haven, she managed to pick these up for me!. I have been wanting to try the L'Oreal Colour riche balms  for a really long time as I had come to a revelation that I really am not the biggest fan of pigmented lipstick, but I much prefer the sheer pleasure (see what I did there) of a lighter lip.

When I first opened and swatched "Pink Satin" I was a little disappointed, purely because it literally didn't show up at all. I rubbed back and forth and still nothing, so I thought just go ahead and try it on the lips anyway. Im so glad I did because when on the lips it gives this really nice milky pink film, almost as if you have put a little bit of foundation on the lips without looking dead. Sounds not to convincing but if you do get ahold of this, please just try it out. It is truly a good easy lip colour and I love it!. The next colour I believe is called "Rose Elixir" if i'm not mistaken. It's a really nice sheer berry colour, and adds that just kissed tint to the lips. I really like this on days where I want to add a little more colour but still don't want that pigmented creamy lip. I like using these on the dewy look days, and I'm really enjoying it. These balms are really hydrating and I find that they can last a long time if you don't drink or eat. So maybe not the greatest longevity, but re-applying is only necessary if you want some colour, not nourishment. Im really happy I have got my hands on these!

Have you tried these? Do you know of anything similar?

  5. That's fantastic that Pink Satin looked better on the lips. Sometimes you just have to give it a go to really see. :] // itsCarmen.com ☼ ☯

  7. I don't think these have come to the UK yet but they look really cute, it's a shame that Pink Satin wasn't as pigmented as you'd initially hoped - I think it's the same for all of these sheer products. xx
