//Makeup For Glasses //

BerrieBlogs©
Now I'm not a glasses wearer but I love the occasional play around with the clear lens to complete a look. Whilst wearing what I like to call my granny shades from Zara I thought to show some things to change up in your makeup so that you look great in your spectacles.

Bold Eyelashes and Brows are key:
If you don't wear a bold eyebrow or lashes then your eyes will look a bit small and be overpowered by the lens. By wearing a bold brow you are framing the lens and making them fit the shape of your face better. A bold lash make sure your eyes look bigger and fir the lenses a bit better.

Nude Liner in the Waterline:
This is pretty much a no brainer even to people who don't wear glasses because it makes you look more awake. It brings attention to your eyes, thus making them look bigger and more bold through your glasses. I find that if I use a mix of the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk and the Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajahl in no5 Nude, It makes the perfect bright colour for a little pick me up.

Shimmery Lid:
Pretty much optional, but just another step to bring attention towards the eyes and make them look brighter.

Highlighted Underyes:
The shadow underneath glasses can sometimes give the illusion of dark circles or in my case, emphasise mine even more. That is why it is key to apple some brightening concealer such a YSL's Touche Eclat or L'oreal's Lumi Magique to illuminate and brighten the under eye area.

What are your tips for glasses wearers? Do you wear glasses? What kind?

  1. I definitely find that I change my makeup when I know I'm wearing glasses! I incorporate more of a drop shadow, plus I usually pay more attention to my lips.
