My nana used this, my mum used this and so did my aunty. Its a family tradition that i'm up keeping to use Pond's cold cream. Its a product that has been around for yonks and everyone used. It is a white cream that is to be applied to dry skin and used to cleanse of makeup and dirt from the day. Simply wipe of with a damp towel and voila! Clean and refreshed skin. I must say I haven't used this in a while but I do miss it because it is so good for your skin. It moisturises and nourishes, while cleansing. It has been one of my mum's greatest product recommendations today and I cant thank her enough.
Plus! Its cheap too.
2. Applying Perfume
Probably the most basic tip, maybe not even from Mum but applying perfume is something that my mum taught me. I think perfume completes a look and just make you more presentable. It gives a more approachable vibe and I love switching up scents. My Mum wears Chanel no.19 which her mum used to wear. I think that is so sweet and I hope to uphold that tradition too. The beautiful bottle and green elixir makes it so elegant and makes me think of my mum.
3. All purpose Ointment
Lucas Pawpaw ointment has been with me, by my side since I was a baby. I used to use it on nappy rash, chaffing, chapped lips and razor bumps. It is a topical ointment for all sorts of burns and grazes. Unlike Vaseline, Lucas pawpaw penetrates and gives moisture as apposed to layering and protecting. I use this every night before bed and I swear by it. It is the only lip balm I will use purely because I find its the only thing that works. If you have not used this take it from me and my mum, this stuff is amazing. This is the best recommendation my mum could have given me.
What are some products your mum taught you to use?
