// The Importance of Brush Cleansing. //

I hope you like my new little title setup chums, because I do hehe. Today Im going to bring forward something I lack. Brush Cleansing motivation. Im sure all of us sit there when doing our makeup in the morning and say, "One more day won't hurt anyone, its not any dirtier than it was yesterday" WRONG. STOP THERE MRS. This is so wrong. One more day of bacteria will build and lead to spot and dirty skin. It will affect the way your makeup goes on and could lead to breakouts. I recommend brush cleansing once a week. I use Baby Shampoo to leave my brushes deeply cleansed, soft and smelling great. It doesn't leave any greasy residue and is great for synthetic fibres. I recommend staying away from real hair brushes because they are much harder to clean and most of the product gets stuck in the brush fibres. So to conclude, if you are looking at a rank makeup brush now and thinking "To clean or not to Clean" CLEAN.

  7. In the past I used to forget it, but now I try to clean them once a week! At first I was using a regular shampoo, now I prefer a liquid dish soap, as it is antibacterial, and then follow with a hair conditioner to keep them soft!

I'm awful at brush cleaning purely because I hate waiting for them to dry! But, it is a necessity, just a chore I hate! xo

  12. It's awful when people don't wash their brushes - I love cleaning my make-up brushes and do it every 2-3 days...they feel a lot softer too! :)

  13. Yay, brush cleaning! If you haven't heard of the Benjabelle brush tree, it makes drying quicker and helps ensure your bristles will stay in tact. My blog post about it is going up tomorrow :D
