The Tropical Edit- Preparing for warmer months //

Im the biggest fan of the tropical smells and themes. Living in Asia my whole life I have been surrounded by fresh fruit, fragrant flowers and vibrant culture. Naturally this brings the love for anything frangipani, coconut and jasmine scented. Thats why when the warmer months roll around I whip out these products to really get into the beachy vibe.

Scent:
If there is something to get you into the summer spirit it is scent. Whip out a sunny candle and some tropical body mist. Try some coconut scented body lotion and whip out the oil burner for an island experience. Im naturally drawn to the scent of jasmine and coconut so you may see a re-ocurring theme. In the summer, try go for a mist instead of a perfume, it is much lighter and much less intense giving you a more youthful vibe.

Sun:
Protecting yourself from the scent is one of the most important things during the summer. I recommend an spf for your body at all times. Try something scented like this Le Tan Coconut sun screen, which smells like a holiday. Protecting your hair and lips from the sun is just as vital, so try a fruity lip balm and a hair oil. Pawpaw ointment reminds me of my childhood and this combined with Argan oil (scent is just perfect) makes for a very happy Aerin.

Replenish:
Hydrating the skin is so important during the warmer months. Thats why I go for a light body cream tat sinks in easy and smells yummy. I love the Coconut body lotion from this hawaiian home made brand. It smells fresh and indulgent and sinks in fast. Hair gets oily during Summer so I recommend a dry shampoo, maybe something tropical scented? Like the Batiste coconut and exotic tropical dry shampoo. Banning oils and keeping your hair smelling lush!

What is your favourite thing about summer?
