So, the Gingerbread Candle. I must be completely honest and say that if this candle was shoved infront of me and i had to guess what it was, i most definetely wouldn't have said Gingerbread. Yankee candle describes it to be " A delicious childhood memory.. spicy warm gingerbread rich with cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar. In my opinion it does have a very heavy bakery scent. I can deffinetley smell spices in there. Ok! i may have been fibbing a bit before it may have a slight gingerbread scent but it is overpowered buy other scents. I know this sounds weird but it has a slightly fruity scent to it. I would reccomend this candle to people who like bakery scents! .
Now as you can probably tell i have used Home For The Holidays a bit more than Gingerbread but that is because it reminds me of Christmas back home in England. Ive only experienced Christmas in England once but on Christmas Eve, this is what it smelt like. Now , this is a scent were you either love it or you hate it. Personally, i absoloutely love it and if i imagine Christmas this is what it would smell like. Yankee Candle describes it as " The Holiday spices of cinnamon and clove, mixed with earthy cedarwood and Balsam". I think that it couldnt have been described an better. I love that there is that cinammony type sweetness but still kept serious with the clove and the cedarwood and balsam remind me of a Christmas tree. As the type goes on, i believe that every time you burn this , The Christmas tree scent starts to appear when you smell it. As far as the scent it gives off when you burn this i say it a 3 out of 5. It does give off scent but not like when you walk in my room it smells like Christmas. I would recommend this to people who really like spicy scents and are not afraid for people to come in and say " It's May , why does your room smell like Christmas".
